The 5th grade students at Renaissance Charter School at Summit took a field trip to the Science Museum at the Palm Beach Zoo to dissect frogs. As part of a grant between the Science Museum and RECS Summit every class will take two field trips to the Zoo this year. Members of the Zoo’s staff will also come into each classroom twice a year to continue those educational experiences. Students in the 5th grade got a once in a lifetime chance to dissect frogs and learn about the different organs in a frog’s body.
Earlier this year students had the chance to dissect a squid when the Science Muse-um came to visit their classroom. Channel 25 ABC News was present to document this awe-some experience.
